    Hi all,
Without wishing to hijack this thread, I am in desperate need of help.
I have been a SAHM to 4 children, for the past 10 years.
I have got an interview this week, for a part time receptionist. I'm really worried, firstly, I have nothing to wear, I found my work clothes from 10years ago (hidden in the loft), and they are dated, and the skirt nolonger fits (can't get the zip up). Secondly, what sort of questions will be asked, I always go blank, when asked "what can you offer/why do you think you should get this job".
Any help really appreciated, I feel really out of the work scene, and my confidence is'nt anything like it was when I worked.
Right, first search this board for 'interview' and you'll find various threads with things like 'make sure your shoes are clean, don't be late, and don't gabble.'

Next, get yourself out to the nearest charity shops in the morning and find something smart to wear. No-one will ever know unless you tell them!

Throughout all this say to yourself (aloud if you can) "I've got an interview, I must have shown I've got the skills to do this job."

What sort of receptionist job is it? Private company, local government, health related? That will make a bit of a difference to the kind of questions you'll be asked. If it's a private company, research it a bit so that you can say "I'd really enjoy working here because I think your contribution to environmental issues is second to none" or similar guff. If it's public sector, then expect a question on equal opportunities - make sure you know what it covers and what can be done to implement a policy so it's not just a load of words. Search this board for that as well ...

Then go and sock it to 'em ...

    Good luck!
