Hi all
I have just started a dmp with cccs. They wrote to me on sat advising that nationwide credit card are refusing to accept the dmp saying that the amount being paid is not enough.
i guess the next step will be they sell this debt on to a dca. if this happens are they likely to accept the amount proposed?

You will probably be much better off once the debt has been sold on, since the DCA's are usually likely to accept a DMP.
Hope all goes well!0 -

Certainly the advice that I got from CCCS when one of the companies that I owe money to rejected the amount proposed as payment in my most recent update of my SOA (I'm 2 and a half years into a DMP) was that they were likely to pass onto a DCA and that would most likely be a positive move as the DCA is more likely to accept.
Don't know if they would yet - had a call from the company last week to say that they couldn't accept. Fine I said. Couldn't you pay any more they said? No I said - the amount is as stated in my SOA. Couldn't you rework the figures and find the money from somewhere else? No I said. The budget was carefully worked out and is what I can afford. (Felt like saying that I couldn't show favouritism to them anyway and had to treat all the people that I owe money to equally - but I'm not too well at the moment and not in great form).
Anyway - was told that if I didn't do anything they would have no other option but to pass on for collections (think that was supposed to scare me - would probably have done so a year ago). Fine I said and put the phone down.
Waiting now for the next stage!0
