Yet another breach of the OFT guidelines (as posted by Fermi)
    See section 2.6 (b)
    Examples of unfair practices include:

"Pressurising debtors sell property, to raise funds by further borrowing or to extend their borrowing"
"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"

... They also sent this interesting comment:

"The payment with us also must be made by Debit card if you are setting up a payment plan on the account as it make it secure for us, we will not accept payments to the bank."

    Interesting way of 'helping' people.
You offer them payment how you want to do it - apart from credit card, which will cost them, if they refuse payment, then there is a stalemate which is not to their benefit. In your position, I would be quite blunt and refuse in writing to pay by debit card as it is too easy for them to take payments fraudulently. I would tell them why too and ask them for bank details or their other suggestions. They really would be in a weak position to take action forward or to penalise you in any way if they refuse to accept payments except by a means unacceptable to you.

Thanks for your comments, it is really helpful to know that there is good advice out there.

Heatherks it is Capital Finance One (CFO).

Barbiedoll, I have added that to the complaint to the FOS and will also raise it with the OFT when I make my complaint to them.

DVardysShadow, I have told them I will not be providing my card details due to the unauthorised payment taken from the account. As I am setting up a DMP with CCCS I have told them that any payments will be made through them.

They haven't got back to me yet about my request for an accurate printed statement.
