I have dealings with these. Sorry if this is the wrong place for this.
I made contact with them 2 wks ago and said I would pay 50 quid the following week - they said give them a ring and make the payment by card and then arrange to make a £99 per month for 6 months. I couldn't make the phone call as something came up. However, I set up a standing order based on bank details they provided on the back of their letter. I set it up to make the £50 on february 24th and the other payments to leave the account on the 24th as well for 6 months.
I have received letters saying they need my bank details or they will pass it onto further action.
If they have provided the bank detials for people to do standing orders themselves then why if there a neccessity to provide them with my details?
Cheers

I have been paying back to Lowell for the last three years or so and they do not have my bank details. I pay by the standing order I set up. I never hear from them and TBH have been using my excel spreadsheet to know when to stop the standing orders. Once you're paying they should be happy. I've never had any problem with them.0

Do you know how Lowells can match your deposits to your account?
I'm not suggesting you give them your account details just yet, but they may be seeing your deposits but not have a clue which account it is for.0 -

Well on the standing order I put my lowell ref no on it so that they have a reference for who is paying. This was all ask for by them on their letters.
I dont owe them thousands and this should hopefully be paid before the 6 months is up.
Cheers anyway.

Well cheers for that. I am just going to send them a letter and say that I dont know much about them and will not pass my band details to a company which I know little about. The amount if only about £600 and should be paid well before the 6 mths!
Cheers for your help!

Any collection agency has no power to force anything on you, so you can pay what you want within reason and they can only force you to pay more once they have a ccj in place and have asked for a break down of your earnings, most collection agencies will be happy with the fact that you have aggreed a payment plan with them and as long as you stick to it will leave you alone.
If you owe them £600.00, they probably purchased the actual debt for nearer side of £400.00, cannot be specific as I dont work in them, so if you want to pay this over a year or two and they agree then it will not affect your credit file.0
