Any Suggestions for Stopping rug "creep"

Options
Any help appreciated to stop my rugs 'creeping' on the carpet. I've tried the double-sided sticky white sheets - they do help a little, but in another way it looks worse, because when the rug starts to creep, you can see the white sticky sheet and it looks worse than ever. I keep having to readjust the rugs a couple of times a day!

Any suggestions? (that won't harm either the carpet or the rugs!).

Thanks.

    What about this:

    www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/50093539

I use these on my parquet floors, but I'm sure it would work with carpets.

Doesn't that 'velcro' effect make the carpet pull?

I share this pain too - always blame the dog!! My ex next-door-neighbour used to say it was the vibration of the washing machine that made the rugs move - use to make me laugh anyway.

  • Thanks to everyone who contributed! I think the Ikea solution sounds like what I've already got down. At least it's not expensive. Velcro and rubbery thing from B&M don't sound too expensive either so I'll give them a go and report back!

Lakeland used to do a superb double sided tape which I used for a long time, but last time a bought a roll they'd changed it and it no longer worked.

    Ta again!:D

I got the rubbery thing from Home Bargains and I'm sure it was only £1.99. It works really well as we have a large doo-lally dog lol, and when he's in madcap mood it doesn't move at all.
