I received an email about two months ago from them apologising for the delay but still not received anything and I'm a student nurse, so a genuine request.

Added, I went on their website and it says a sample will be sent when they launch, so perhaps, there is hope yet.
My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely.

Hi all.. I am not a nurse but I work in the hospital, so this is perfect for me as each time I enter a new unit I have to wash my hands and use the antibacterial gel. After a while as many of the hospital staff know this makes your hands dry, chapped and really uncomfortable. Please dont be greedy and take this freebie for the sake of it!

Similar to me - i'm an OT student and have developed eczema from washing my hands every 5 seconds whilst on my placements! This would be soooo useful - I always have moisturising cream in my tunic but it really doesn't cut the mustard! :(

Hope this will help some of you, I sufferred terribly from dry hands and tried all hand creams I could get hold of, all the expensive ones, everything, with no joy. Then I found Skin Therapy Ultra Intensive Hand & Nail Cream in Wilkinsons, it is their own brand and fantastic, my Brother's hands cracked and bled last winter, one treatment of this and his hands were smooth and soft. Better still the price, around 60p. Diane

thanks op -no im not a nurse ,im a mum with a teen with ocd hand washing issues.

You should be able to get emulsifying ointment free then. I have had eczema for years and this is the best, as cream, believe it or not actually DRIES your hands up! I get a massive 500ml tub of emulsifying OINTMENT (which DOESN'T dry your hands up)Ask your gp. If she's under 16 or under 18 and in ft education it's free anyway!

That's because, as I just said, cream DRIES your hands up. I suffered for 15 years before I was given the ointment. Same with cortisone creams. I used them, but when I was given a cortisone OINTMENT instead, even though I use it sparingly it was MILES better than the cream.
use ointment not cream. Cream is drying, ointment is an emollient! Good luck!

Has anyone now received an e-mail from Yes Nurse for their free hand cream and been asked to give card details (or it won't go through)? :(

Edit: Ah, just read at the bottom that they will send you one every month unless you cancel, that's why they want the card details. Not happy about doing that in case I forget, as it is £5 each time.

By the way, for those of you who wondered if it was for non-nurses too, they ask you on the first page, so I clicked non-nurse and still got through, so it's ok.
