Where can I get the best deal on a Mac Laptop?

Can anyone tell me the cheapest place to buy a Mac laptop. (Ok I know that's not the proper name for it, but you know what I mean!)

To be completely honest, I'm not sure. It's to be a birthday present for my hubby. He bought one from a online auction site here in Sweden and surprise surprise it doesn't work. I thought I'd get him a new one that DOES work as a surprise. The one he's got sitting on the desk that doesn't work is an IBOOK.

The apple website sells refurbished models with warranties every wednesday morning, everything from ipods to laptops. Think you may have to register before placing an order. Stock apparently goes very quickly. So register before a wednesday morning.
Try google search for refurbished apple computers, apple macs etc. There are many small businesses dotted around that refurb models and resell.
I would suggest ebay but you look as if you have already fell foul of a similar site, normally some very good deals to be had from some honest sellers. How about trying to get the ibook fixed from an apple dealer? they can be quite cost effective sometimes and may do a free quote.

The ibook is a good model but you may be better aiming for a powerbook, its what I use and highly recommended. comes 12", 15" and 17" and may be replaced with a new model soon so shop around.
