Thanks for all the help guys.

just so you know, i'm going for a yorkshire 3yr fixed at 4.89% mortgage - seems like a good deal and thanks to all the advice, i've now got a better idea of what to look for!!

If anyone has any opinions on yorkshire would be helpful - but thanks all anyway.
