terminal bonus winterthur

Hi,
Just phoned Winterthur Life
i have had a with profits endowment for 25 yrs matures this year august
winterthur where vague regards any terminal bonus, i have not recieved any bonus for the last 6 years
is the terminal bonus based on the original endowment value mine was £10,000.00 or is it calculated on what the policy is currently worth, again mine is worth £6200.00 5 months from maturity.
please help may i get a percentage bonus on 10k or a percentage bonus on 6k, winterthur wont tell me if any bonus will be paid even though i have been with them for 24years.

As the terminal bonus could be anything and you won't know until maturity in August, it's a moot point how it's calculated.
However, to assuage your curiosity it's usually given as a percentage of the guaranteed basic sum assured, plus attaching bonuses.I am a mortgage broker.
