I bought a couple of gorgeous leather sofas from sofa sofa a few years back, and was pleased with the service I recieved. Dont know if you'll get one this side of Christmas though!

how about https://www.nabru.co.uk
Seems fairly inexpensive but I don't have direct experience with them and it's self assembly outside a certain area (London and SE i think).0 -
thanks, has anyone had experiance with land of leather??0

I just had a sofa delivered from Land of Leather on sunday, ordered it approx 4 weeks ago and was delivered when they said. Came in a big cardboard box and they put it together for me too. Only downside in my opinion was £50 delivery, but I think most places charge between £35-£50 as the norm now.0

If you live up here check out Churchill Reproductions The website is in the process of being updated but their showroom is just off the M61 in Farnworth, really high end stuff, well built and hand made. they can make wha ever you want I think as everything in built to order.0

3 hours to get to Farnworth from Manchester? I can get from Farnworth to Victoria station in 15 minutes what part of manchester are you in? I am sure if you gave Churchills a call the owner would pick you up and take you to the showroom. ok maybe not but I expect he would sort somthing out, Last time I went in he told me about the new website and catalogs he was working on.
We have always had fabric in the past but the last one we bought from a place on Walkden road shreaded the material was crap, we also bought on from a place on Longcauseway also in Farnworth that was ok it was a heavy velour embroidered patern thing it was nice and comfy but looked dated after 5 years. we now have the leather one and its even more comfy a !!!!!! in the summer if you have bare skin and its hot you stick to it, he have covers we put over it when its like that.
There is also Saxon on manchester road going in to Bolton from Farnworth, but I would try Churchill first they make some smart designs I really like the Society style.
I know people that have bought from DFS and they fell apart after a few years the cushons were knackered after 6 months no support what so ever0 -
There is a "slight" possibility that DFS MAY and I use the word MAY have a sale on.
You could probably pay nothing for a year then take 4 years interest free credit by which time youll probably need another sofa !
Sorry couldnt resist.
