Well I've been invited around for Sunday lunch. I don't expect or would take anything. Although knowing my parents they will probably end up spending more at Christmas than they normally would.

£816 overpayment made this month, which brings overpayments up to £24,252 to date. Probably going to miss next month, due to Christmas etc, which will mean I'll miss my MFW target by £95.

Yeah I'm please for my parents, it took quite a bit of effort to get them to be bothered to reclaim. Like a lot of people they probably thought nothing would happen.

Regards my overpayments, it is clocking up quite nicely. The mortgage is in course to be paid off by 2021ish, instead of 2035. Still wish it could be sooner though.

An unnusal mid month post from me. Earlier this month I said we probably won't be making an overpayment next month, which would have left us just £95 short of my WFW 2013 target.

Well we've decided we will afterall, not as much as normal but the £500 minimum that we are allowed. I'll post to confirm if I actually do do it.

Today I cashed in a loose change box, which came to £133. So that'll go towards it. Plus I decided to get one of those Luma credit cards, they have an really high interest rate, but I've set the DD to pay in full each month. I've only got it to use in Supermarkets and Petrol stations, to get the 4% cashback. Which will give us an extra £108 a year. Which will obviously get chucked a overpayments in the future.

I stuck to my guns and made the £500 OP that I promised. So I beat my 2013 target :)

I hope everyone had a good Christmas.

Anyway, I've made my first OP of 2014, £825. Which brings my total OPs since I started overpaying to £25,577.

Hopefully I'll keep the pace up this year.

Another month, another overpayment. £835 this time.

I hope all are well, I went for a job interview last week for a better paid job which actually seemed easier. Unfortunately I didn't get it but I was apparently quite close to getting it. Oh well, least its practice.

I was also very tempted to buy a new/newer car last month, but I resisted (again), I've been wanting too for a while now.

Ideally I can wait till June 2015 when the mortgage comes up for revewal and we get a far better interest rate. Or ideally resist as long as I possibly can and keep overpaying instead.

It's a lovely day today, I went and ate my lunch in green space nearby, made a change than being stuck at my desk, hopefully due to that I'll be more productive this afternoon.
