A bit later in the month than normal, but I've just made another overpayment. This time £547, which brings the total overpayment up to £4,638 in the 11 months since starting.
We weren't going to, but I realised there was quite a large surplus in the joint account for bills, so I took some of that for OP.
Ther person said the approximate outstanding balance was now £190,100. I was hoping it would take it sub £190k, but it will be next month.MFW 2015 - #88 £3,345 / £3,500

Today I made my latest overpayment, which was £556. This is also the 12th month since I made our first overpayment. I've far exceeded what I thought we would manage and have overpaid by £5,194 in a year, an average of £432 a month.
This month I've spent quite a lot of money on a Chiropractor as I badly twisted my pelvis which was unbeliveably painful. So any overtime that I did earn has been spent on that.
I have another appointment next Friday, and hopefully that will be it.MFW 2015 - #88 £3,345 / £3,500

I should be able to increase the overpayment next month, I got my latest payslip today and this extra overtime, which is not doing much apart from being on call, paid an extra £347.MFW 2015 - #88 £3,345 / £3,500

A recently regular saver thing just matured. So rather than sticking it in savings we've stuck a big chunk of it towards the mortgage. An overpayment of £5,562 has just been made.
That means we've overpaid by £11,416 in just over a year.MFW 2015 - #88 £3,345 / £3,500

June overpayment made, £664. £65 of that should have been last month but I worked out last months overpayment incorrectly.
So that's £12,641 overpaid so far. Next month it will be two years since we bought the house and 17 months since the overpayments started.
Thanks Nora. This latest overpayment should dip us below £180,999 which will mean £20,000 has been paid off in 23 months.MFW 2015 - #88 £3,345 / £3,500

A bit later in the month than normal, mainly as I've been on a training course for week. But I've made another overpayment, £603 this time. Which brings it up to £13,244 overpaid so far.
Yesterday, was the 2nd anniversary of moving in. So it's not bad progress so far.
I'm not sure if my overpayments are going to carry on at quite teh same pace going forward though, as I've dropped out of the on call overtime as it was too intrusive.
Other news, we got a couple of kittens a couple of months back.MFW 2015 - #88 £3,345 / £3,500
