Of course the self-same 'over-priced' whingers would still not be happy if the food was 'reasonably priced' but the tickets werre £15 to make the cinema economically viable.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Well today I went to Frankie & Bennies and had a big breakfast for £5 with three cups of coffee. And then went to the Vue next door to see Unknown.
Didn't need, or want, any of their over-priced sugary c****y drinks or food.
Sometimes makes me wonder where people get the money from to buy the huge tubs of popcorn. Makes it a very, very expensive trip to the cinema. As if the film wasn't dear enough to see already.0 -
My local cinema charges £2.50 in the week and £3.50 at weekends, so I can't actually see why the big cinamas 'need' to charge anywhere near £8! They do sell popcorn, sweets, drinks etc, and it is more expensive than in the shops, but nowhere near the prices of the big chains - a friend and I saw a film, I had popcorn and she had sweets, and we paid less than £10 for the whole thing:money:0

Is that the one where he asks about profit margins etc and the MD was refusing to talk about that on TV and it all got a bit stroppy at one point with the MD refusing to talk and the guy saying that unless the MD told him more he wasn't going to help?

maybe the prices are dictated to them by the film companies, just a thought, most of the ticket price the cinema doesnt see anyway,0
