I have a confession to make, when I replied to the OP I thought he/she was buying the anti-limescale tablets for the washing machine. Not having one, a dishwasher never entered my head. But I can't see why it wouldn't work in a dishwasher.
I use morrisons value (chemical) vinegar and it gets rid of limescale great.0
