Phoenix Gas PAYG Meter

This is not money-saving - but hoping someone knows how to rectify the problem.

Gas Meter shut off when it went down to 15 units today. Topped up the card and put it in the Meter. Meter reading 'o' which indicates the valve is now open and and also the amount of units now on it (89). Pressed the reset button on the boiler, it started going through the motions, but then shut down again. Reset button flashes every second and blue light every 2 seconds (it is a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 28i Condensing Combi Boiler).
Have gone down to the Emergency Shut-off point twice before and the system reset without any problems.

I topped up the card today knowing it was probably getting near the cut-off point (was still working before i went to work - but when heating came on at 4pm before i got home, it must have shut-down). When i put the card into the Meter at that point, i did what i always do and pressed the black button to open the valve again. It was only when i was doing this i noticed the display was flashing 'OFF'. However when i took the card out and put it back in again, it was showing my new balance and was no longer flashing 'OFF', which should have meant it was working again.

Could the Meter have 'locked-out' - and does anyone know how i get it working again. Have tried switching off at the mains etc. and re-starting, but that hasn't worked either. Getting cold now, and don't fancy a cold shower in the morning either

Thanks
