Hi,

Does any lender offer a loan based on household income? Wanted to apply for a loan in my partners name but she is a housewife.

Thanks

  • I hope not.

Why can you not apply in your own name?
    Thinking critically since 1996....

household income means just that, the income of the household, be it salary, benefit, pension whatever

it doesnt relate to any of the parties being a 'housewife'

'Homemaker' is the politically correct term, I believe.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

Why does this post read as,

Destroyed my own credit file due to financial neglect, and now want to destroy someone elses?

    Hi, Thanks for the replies.

First of all I dont have any problems with my credit record. I do have a good amount of available credit on my credit cards which I thought if I apply in my name it cause a problem. It was just a question to ask if it was possible to apply in my partners name.
