When you say you offered to pay half - how did you do this? in writing? or verbally?
The loan from the bank is theirs to pay or their credit rating to be trashed.
They could possibly, as a seperate issue, try taking you to court for the money they lent to you - but very unlikely anything would stand up in court.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
