Entries on credit report

I have an entry on my credit report, which states it was defaulted in 2005, and whilst it states there is a balance, it is very close to dropping off the credit report, and will become statute barred because I have had no contact with the creditor for almost six years.
My question is, although the debt won't have been satisfied, after it drops off, can they put it back onto my credit report?
Thanks.

Hi,
No, they cannot put it back onto your credit report. Once it drops off your credit file, some dcas may still try to pursue the debt (hopeing you won't be aware of the statute barred rule), but any info on your credit report is gone.If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.
