Give a dog a bone :)

We all like to treat our dogs, and the best way is a nice fresh yummy bone!

So, if you go down to your butchers, they'll happily give you some huge bones for free as otherwise THEY have to pay to get them disposed of properly.

Butcher is happy, dog is mighty happy and so are you :)

Try a different butcher perhaps? We're in huddersfield and if we go to the farm shop, they'll give them out for free. Infact, they've got a huge box full of huge bones 'free to take' :)

Ithink they do them in leeds kirkgate market too. Unless its just because my mum goes and buys most of their undesirables that they give them to her for free :)

Most butchers in Leeds Kirkgate and in Huddersfield and most of the shops around here sell bones and other bits and pieces for dogs. Often its only 50p for a big bag but most have cottoned on to the fact they can make money out of what they use to give away for free.

    or chocolate

Slightly related, But if you give a dog a bone and it injures itself, does your pet insurance pay out? or would they not pay out cause it was your fault?

Actually you can give dogs bones. My dogs have been fed on raw meat and bones for years and are the healthiest they've ever been. They must be raw bones. Never give a cooked bone as it can splinter.

My mum feds our dogs (bichons) on raw fresh tripe and a mixture of veg like kale, sweet potato and spinich etc. they also get alternate meat like ox tail, heart, pigs liver, and kidney. they also get a chincken wing every couple days as a treatand occasionally a pigs trotter. and my one of my dogs have only been to the vets once and thats becase a large dog grab her in the mouth and shock her, and and the others have because of skin problem which they are prone to. The vet actually told my mum one of are dogs was a very healthy 7 year old, was gobsmacked when she told him she was 13

Which equals the WHITE DOG POO :rotfl:

Remember those!? Thats because those dogs were on a raw meat only diet, and it's something to do with not containing a certain something that tinned foods do.
It turns white - doesn't come out white.......:eek:Incase you wanted to know....for some reason lol
