hi there,

anyone recommend where to buy electrical goods such as ovens and washer dryers in n.i.

I looked at currys but they seem quite expensive.

Online I can get a good price until I get to the delivery stage where either the website doesn't deliver here or it does for a huge premium.

Anyone have any ideas?

Where are you ?? - we found that when we were buying several items for our new house that the best bet was to go to the local family firm as you could negotiate the best discount and delivery always included.

Yep, agreed, go see a local store, tell them what all you're interested in and they should give you a better price. Haggle on delivery too. S&R Electric or CS Suppliers, there's a Euronics in West Belfast too on the Andersonstown Road, can't remember the name though.

    +1

I'd strongly recommend Dalzells of Markethill, if you're anywhere near them. Their prices were fantastic and they did free delivery.

  • East Antrim Electrical in Larne are quite good, haven't heard any bad reports about them and they seem quite reliable.

Have you had a nosy in any of the Tesco Extras?

Handy for the interest free credit too if you don't have the cash at the time but their prices tend to be a bit higher than other retailers:o They tend to sell their stock products and are not interested in ordering in other products you may want.

Currys may actually be worth a try too surprisingly enough, my washing machine packed up at christmas and after searching online etc..... Currys came in with a similar price on a Zanussi which I could reserve online and call and pick up at the store;) Got Quidco on the purchase too:T
