Isofix car seat for 3 years + ???

My son has just turned 3 and is too big for his current isofix seat.
I was wondering if the next stage seats come with isofix?
Is isofix necessary for group 2-3 seats?
And can anyone recommend any?
If they dont come with isofix then recommendations of good vfm ordinary seat-belt seat will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

This one was awarded bronze by Practical Parenting:

I prefer Isofix, as we move our son's seat from vehicle to vehicle and I feel that it is more likely to be fitted correctly.
All the rest of the stage 2 and 3 seem to start at age 4 (depending on what your son weighs). There are a few multistage ones, but I can't find an Isofix one. This is the one they awarded gold:

However, if your son has an existing Isofix base, it might make more sense to look at the next seat up that will fix the existing base (if there is one).

Which? magazine tests gave these Cybex X-Fix seats top marks and they are currently on half price at mamasandpapas

they have other colours. I prefer the which? tests as they seem to focus on the crash performance of the seat which I value most.0
