Shop Direct Financial Services?

Hi there :)

I've just obtained my trial Experian credit report (via Pigsback - I'm getting there with the DFW-ness!) and there are two items on it that I have no idea what they are. They're clearly mail order catalogues, and searching back through my mind I've had one or two in the past, but for the life of me I can't remember which these might be.

The company name is listed as Shop Direct Financial Services, but on Googling this all I can find is a site called LX Direct, and poking around on it has given me no clues as to which catalogues they might be. It's part of the Littlewoods Group, and that's all I can find.

Could anyone here please help me, if they know which catalogues that company represents? I know I had an Abound catalogue ages ago that I don't even remember ordering anything from, and I had a Choice catalogue that I probably ordered one or two items of clothing from.

One was opened in August 2002 and settled in April 2004 and is showing a green '0' as my current status, but the other was opened in August 1997 and settled in September 2001 and is showing a yellow '2' as my current status. Presumably I was late paying that one on at least a couple of occasions, but whatever it is is now settled, so why is my current status still showing two late payments when it was actually settled in 2001?

Finally (sorry, I'm so full of questions!) I know that with the six-year thing these should vanish from my report, along with several others that are sitting there, but I'm concerned about the one that shows the yellow '2' as my current status. There are also several other old accounts showing as '0' while I'm not actually using them or ever intend to again (such as my old Orange mobile phone contract). Is it a good idea to contact each of those companies by letter to get the account officially closed, or should I wait for them to just fall off the credit report after six years? There are addresses to contact all of them, save that pesky Shop Direct Financial Services, so I guess I'd have to contact the LX Direct place to close those accounts?
I was cut out to be rich, but got sewn up wrong.

Abound and Choice are both part of Littlewoods Shop Direct, as are Kays, LXdirect, Additions, Great Universal, Marshall Ward...

Ok I'm not an expert in credit reports but I think if the account is marked 'settled', that is as good as you are going to get.
