Hi
I owed £568 for council tax after falling into arrears. I let a bailiff in as I had every intention of paying so agreed a £100 per month payment plan and signed a walking possession agreement. I've kept to the arrangement and now have £68 outstanding however I genuinely forgot to make the payment on the 20th feb. Having just realised I contacted Ross and Robertson the bailiffs to make payment.
The operator refused to take my payment and referred me to the removal team, I spoke to a guy who said he would call ne back when he's looked into my case in an hour.
Can they refuse my last instalment and taker belongings still? Help I'm really worried! I have my debit card at the ready to make payment!!

the reason they wont accept your payment is because they can now charge you a van/attendance fee (however they have to attend your home to charge this fee)
if you can make the payment using there on-line payment facility if you cant pay the council using there on line payment and send the council an e-mail informing them that you paid them because the bailiff firm refused to accept your final paymentI am not an expert I am self taught i have no legal training any information I post is based on my own personal experience and information gained from other web sites
If you are in any doubt please seek legal/expert advice help0
