Ok ladies I'm not a greedy person but I have bought 21 copies jusy for clinique gifts. I looked in asda they sold out so had tesco, then went whsmith asked lady to look in back she brought out a big brown box full of them I purchased everything twice I live themlipstick! Went costco today bought all the 6 mags remaining at only £1.60 per mag!!! Iv collected so much I'm not selling them on eBay um going to actually use them!! Thanks to this website email
I found out about thr deal :D

Good for you. They were for yourself so no probs with that. Enjoy! :T
  • This morning I saw glamour magazines absolutely everywhere! All the stores definitely seemed to have had a Monday morning delivery! In WHSmith, instead of them being on the shelves there were literally around 100 or so in a huge basket by the till! Superdrug also have a lot of them in stock. Boots and Sainsbury's seem to be the only ones who either don't have them or the gift has been stolen! There are so many WHSmith's around, more so than you'd have imagined - remember the ones near train/tube stations and on train platforms! Also, independent newsagents have lots of copies too.

Walnut - in response to the gifts in magazines being stolen, that might not be the case after my experience.

I found WHSmith store in Newcastle to be most unhelpful. I purchased my glamour mags with the gifts that I wanted. I also noticed that a number of mags had gifts hanging off them. I did not want these gifts so when I went to the till to purchase my mags I also took the other mags with the gifts flimsily attached and gave them to the SA and suggested that she attach them with sellotape or else someone would lose their gift. The manager was standing beside the checkouts and heard this conversation. The SA was extremely rude to me, enquiring why I didn't want the mags after bringing them to the till and pointing out that I was holding the checkout line up!

So much for being friendly and helping other people... All I can say is

that anyone that hasn't got a free gift with their mag in Newcastle

WHSmith blame the shop assistant and manager...

I think that may have been the case years ago, when all that was holding the gift to the mag was a piece of Sellotape. The clinique gift is in quite a strong plastic bag, which I had trouble getting open. I think mags likemthis should be kept behind the counter.

I'm glad they aren't kept behind the counter, it would mean a lot of waiting around for an assistant just to see which gifts were available.
I've been in about 11 stores now, and I've seen one single mag without a gift. I say arrest those who pinch the gifts and don't buy the mag for shoplifting!
  • I was quite lucky really popped in 3 shops on way to work on day the mag was out and got the Mascara, superbalm gloss, face scrub, all about the eyes and the moisure surge. I do use the clinique face wash, clarifying lotion ,laser focus and night cream anyway but wanted to try the other bits so think its a great way to try them before parting with your money lol:D

Im suprised people are having trouble finding copies everywhere I have been theres been shelf loads!! I dont think its greedy people stocking up either if theyre going to use it why not..It makes sense really!! Im defo going to try to get another moisture surge..just tried it after my shower and thought it may be abit greasy but it sinks in and makes your skin feel lovely :o plus its 30.00 for 50ml so may as well get 2x30ml for £4:T

Also been wanting to try cowshed for ages so bought the £3 travel copy of Marie Claire to try the Lazy cow body lotion...Its ok but I wouldnt be paying the prices they ask for it as I dont think its that great.Other cheaper ones much better!!!

Totally agree with your post. For me, theres been loads everywhere, although not so many in my village (but still enough!). Tonnes in all the city shops I could find, WHSmith included. I was going to buy a Marie Claire, but I've got so many good body lotions, didn't think it worth it, although looks good.

I got the moisturiser, which is fab, and the mascara. Makes my eyes look great, but does smudge a bit under the eyes.

I went out the day it came out and bought the lipgloss and moisture surge from WHSmith (They even had a sign up on the magazine rack advertising free Clinique gift with Glamour!!) then went to Superdrug and got the DD lotion. Saw every gift that day.
Thought that would be enough...but I was too tempted!
None in Tesco on Saturday... but went to Sainsbury's garage today and got the lip balm and lipstick (not sure about the colour of the lipstick yet). They only had four mags in...I left the make up remover and and lipgloss!
Would like the face wash and scrub as I use those regularly...but I feel bad with the mags just going into the recycling...no-one else to give them to.

I took my spare mags to the doctors today. Doctors /dentists waiting rooms always need extra magazines!
