Sell things on Ebay... easiest way in my opinion.PMA - Positive Mental Attitude
It works for me - you try it!0 -
Spend less, work more and save more. Does she claim all the benefits she can? Does she pay the minimum possible on all bills? Has she done a statement of affairs (soa)? Online questionaires only net about £1 per hour if you are very very lucky.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Sell everything not needed on eBay or carboots. Even clothes/shoes sell on eBay.0

If you can get her to fill in a SOA, people will be better placed at helping her identifying where to cutback.
This is the link to it: http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
Otherwise online surveys and similar will take a long time to make much money, and most pay pennies per survey and don't pay out until you have £40 or £50 in the account. Also, may only pay out in vouchers.
See if she has things that she can e-bay, amazon, or sell on gumtree.0 -
I made a few hundred on ebay just selling old clothes and shoes. Definitely worth a try - remember to tell her to leave enough in Paypal (if she uses it) for the ebay fees though.0

'Unable to work or save' - doesnt sound like the prospects of rasing £500 are good, if the individual needs to raise it in one 'hit'.
Why can they not save it, bit by bit?
Can they not seek some sort of 'informal' paid job, like a newspaper round etc?0 -
Thanks for the efforts Guys,
What it is, is she works and all money earned is on expenses.
I have tried to cut back costs and also she doesnt have any items to sell.
Even if i could help her make £200 just want to help0 -
Can't she cut back at all until she makes the money?
If I know I have a big bill coming up and I'm a bit short, I save. I don't touch our income other than for essential food and cut that right back to basics.
Does she have any unwanted jewelery? My mum just recently sold her old engagement ring for a lot more than it cost a few years ago! Any old mobiles? Is she due to renew car/home insurance anytime soon? Is she on the best gas/electric rates? she could switch via cashback sites but the cashback takes a while to come through.
I think ebay/friday free ads are the best way to go though really.0 -
expensses can be cut back some times its not pretty i mean i had to live 2 weeks with no food and 2 weeks on £5 aswell as help from charity canned goods (have since sent a donation of tinned food i bought to show my appreciation)
if someone is more worried about how they look and how they live then its very hard to raise money or get out of debt..if you have a roof..and power..and food...your sorted its not pretty but it gets the job done and gets it done quickly0
