Tax Refund

in Cutting tax
I filled in my tax refunds last year and the Inland Revenue have told me that I overpaid by just over £10,000. I spoke to them 2 weeks ago and they have told me that a refund was issued on 16th February direct to my bank account.
Does anyone have any idea how long it usually takes once they release the money to get to my bank account?

That's what I thought so i've phoned them. Baring in mind they said 2 weeks ago that the investigations department had checked my assessments and agreed the refund can be issued, the inland revenue then released the refund 2 weeks ago, then suddenly they decided that it needed to go through more investigation checks as it is for a large amount. I wish they hadn't told me two weeks ago that they had released the money as i've gone and bought a car
now they said it could take a further 6 weeks. 0
