Debt Management Plan Dissapointment

Hi guys-my first time on here.
Last October my partner and I entered into a DMP I nievely assumed all my problems would dissapear.Despite me being happy with the company im working with I had no idea what my creditors would be like.
I have recently received a letter from a solicitor indicating they are going to get a County Court Judgement against me-please HELP...I have no idea what this means, what it entails and im scared. Will I have to go to court? Will my DM Company go on my behalf? Will I be forced to pay the debt in full?
Can someone please explain what will happen. Apart from the fact the debt is all my fault, I have a mortgage and a young son to look after.
Thanks

Hi there, I have been in the same situation as you only that I'm doing my DMP on my own...From what I've read the charity DMP providers (CCCS,Payplan) will tell you to admit it. I really don't have a clue what the fee paying ones would do (I suspect nothing..!) But hopefully you're with a free one...anyway, if you want to agree with admitting it (if you can't agree to a payment with your creditor prior) once the ccj papers come through (pop back here if you're unsure - they are blue & have a court stamp..generally from Northampton County Court) you have to fill in your income & expenditure part -and I believe send it to your creditor..they should send it to the courts on their behalf - but I'd send a copy to the court just in case - you won't have to go to court, it will all be done through the post ...as you own a home they may have checked this already & may hope for a charging order..don't stress, they most likely just want to secure the debt against any equity you may have.. but if it does come to that pop back here & we'll try to help you out.

Hi vicks
Often threats of court are just threats that go no further. They are designed to panic you.
However if any court papers come through the post do not send them on to your DMP company. Instead you need to complete them yourself. If you need help with this come on here for some advice.
You either need to admit the debt and tick the box to ask to pay in installments or possible deny the debt (if you don't agree the balance or they don't have the correct paperwork etc). If you admit the debt they you will automatically get a CCJ.
You don't usually have to attend court. Sometimes you may need to to get the judge to agree repayments you can afford (sometimes at a redetermination hearing).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
