thai style noodles. I make mine with chicken. Most recipes have prawns and bean curd in but I leave them out. Mine really just has noodles, bit of garlic, bean sprouts, chicken, sometimes grated carrot and sometimes pak choi (if I remember), then eggs, crushed peanuts, and a sauce made from lime juice, fish sauce, soy sauce and sugar.
that actually sounds a bit horrid but it is so tasty honestly. It tastes just like it did in thailand anyway. Annoying thing was it was only about 70p a portion there! I had it at thai edge recently and it cost £8!

It sounds a bit errr does that!

There is the cost of the labour of someone cooking and serving and cleaning up when you eat out after all.

No wonder I have never heard of it as I have never been to Thailand.

Actually I reckon every meal I do costs less than £1.99. Definately less than £3.98 for the two of us. And we eat really well I think

Wow! didn't realise the co-op was so dear! At our butchers, best mince is 4 lb for £5. And even at full price is well under £2/pound.
It's a good job we have a butchers in our little town - and no co-op!

Unfortunately, they are, and they're the only one nearby unless I head for Tescos (which I won't do unless forced), and if I have to do that (and hence get the car out rather than walk), I'll go to the butchers anyway. Our butchers isn't as cheap as yours though!
  • I will have to try that Pad Thai. Became hooked on the stuff when i was over there a few years ago and costs a fortune at my local place! Thanks
