Please "sell" this car before the bailiff finds out about it. if he levies on it, the costs of paying him start to go up and he can clamp the car and remove it if you do not pay, charging you lots of fees if you do not cough up immediately.
And with respect to the fees, right now the bailiff can charge £24.50 for the first visit. Although there are multiple orders, he can only charge once, not for each order.
If you get the car safe and keep him out of the house, then he can charge another £19 and after that there is no way for him to get extra money. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
update on this.
I paid £1139.66 on 3rd march direct to the council. Just come home from work and got a letter from the bailiff saying warning of intended visit for outstanding amount of £782. Ive just phoned the council and had it confirmed that i now owe them nothing and am completely upto date with payments. The bailiffs seem to be getting figures out of thin air. Should i now contact them and inform them everything has been paid up with the council and i dont owe anything, except possibly the bailiff fees of £42.50? Their letter was dated 7 days after id paid the council so maybe its just crossed in the post but where they are getting this £782 figure from i dont know.
Should i contact the bailiff now?0 -

All the bailiff can charge if he has only visited 2 times is £42.50.
Thats is even if they have gone after all three debts at once. They cannot add multiple visits for each debt.
All you are liable for is the 2 visits. As long as no levy has been made.
Send a cheque or wait for bailiff to visit. Give him the cheque for his 2 visits and tell him if he wants the other fees to take to your court for them.
He a joker trying it on. The admin charge there is no such thing.
JUST REMEMBER DO NOT LET THEM IN.I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.
PRESS THANKS

Oh and I think that they cannot persue charges on a liability order without taking you to court, where they will need to prove the fees that they have charged. But you might want to check that as sometimes the council will pay the bailiff fees 1st out of what you have paid them.
Get the council to write you a letter stating that all the outstanding amount/balance has been paid and you are upto date.I all have learnt is from others on many sites.

When you say some way from your house. How far does it need to be. I live in a street with lots of cars parked in the road outside houses. Do they take the reg numbers of all the cars? How do they know its your car as I live in house made into two flats."What does not kill you makes you stronger"0 -
