Yesterday having raed this thread I decided to check my orders on the CDWow website - like everyone else the order didn't exist - however they were actually delivered yesterday whilst I was at work.0

We have 2 George Michael 25 cds (2 discs) on their way. First one ordered from the 'McDonalds' site and using a £2 voucher. Total £4.49!
The other one from the Iowa site, £5.41 charge showing on my cc statement (forgot to change the currency at the end). £9.90 for 2 of them delivered! It's better than a BOGOF offer! Make great pressies!0 -
Just wanted to let people know that I ordered a book from cd-wow 2 weeks ago (the co.uk site.) "My order" also wasn't showing orders placed so I sent them an email. Apparently they were having "technical glitches." When I checked a few days later the "My orders" button was working. My order was showing as awaiting dispatch but then Sunday it showed as a "pre-release product" (which it wasn't.) I again emailed them and they said it was another technical glitch. Now it did seem funny that they keep having "glitches" but I do have to be honest and say that they have always replied promptly to my emails and they are not automaticaly generated ones either. I have found their CS to be great but their website dreadful.0

if u email them they respond really quickly i have never had a problem0

CDWOW have IMO one of the best CS out their, emails are normally responded to quickly - my record being 3 minutes! They are also one of, if not THE cheapest for the majority of DVDs before adding in the voucher discounts.
The only problems encountered is recently they have had all kinds of problems with their databases (probably from trying to synchronise 13 servers) and they've changed the returns address to Cyprus - not affected me as yet though,Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Good luck Deano. Let us have an update when it arrives. I think you will find the £18 limit for vat applies to vat on EU imports (but the HM Customs & Excise website isn't working properly at the moment so I didn't get the full story)
