Poundland - Douwe Egberts Senseo Pods

Douwe Egberts Senseo pods - 18 pack. Dated to expire end of Dec in my local Poundland today.

Comments

  • These have occasionally been offered in Netto for 99p.

Unfortunately my local Nettos (St. Helens and Wigan) tend to only have the mild variety which nobody seems to want. I've just got some recently with a Dec 2006 expiry. I usually get the regular type, but at 99p I can live with the mild ones.

    Are these any good?
  • What are the two varieties that Lidl offer?

A mild and a dark, can't remember the actual names because my Lidl has been out of them for 2 weeks now. Worth noting that the 69p price was always shown as a special offer, no idea what the real price was meant to be.

For the few months I used them, they were fine, couldn't tell if there was much difference between them and the "official" ones. Senseo coffee tends, generally, to be a tad too watery for hardcore coffee drinkers but fine for folks like me who just want a convenient improvement to powered coffee.
