Tesco sent me a coupon for a free Bag-For-Life as part of my club card points.

Look out for yours!

Perhaps Tesco is going to issue them to everyone as part of their 'Eco Friendly' campaign?

What I worry about is how does the lady at the checkout know you bought it last week and haven't just picked it up?

Go into the store with the bag already in use - ie put some stuff in it, like some other carriers or whatever that you can then store away when you put your shopping in. That way everyone can see you had it before - including the CCTV if the worst comes to the worst.

I bought two lovely jute bags from Sainsbury with the Sainsbury Organic logo on them and I always have something in them when I go shopping. Just in case.

When you exchange your voucher for the bag, the checkout person will prob put a cross through the barcode on the bag. Don't worry the amount they get through they will not think you have just picked it up

I recommend those Wilko's bags for life at 50p. They are much stronger and slightly bigger than Tescos bag for life and they are quite rigid, ideal for putting weeks shopping in.

when the bag gets worn out, hand it back in and you will get another free...its a bag for life....

They are brill I bought two...one is in the car boot the other holds my daff bulbs I have not planted yet
