Hi all,
Looking to remortgage - not so good history - 1 CCJ £11k, £18K unsecured debt on agreed payment plan. Currently have £135,000 house and a £82,000 mortgage with GMAC, just come out of 2 yr fixed as ended. - no penalties. I hear that Salt and Amber are beating down the doors of GMAC etc giving them a run for their money on the sub prime front. I have looked through various brokers and the fees range from £1k to £3k!! Are there any brokers anyone can recommend who dont charge the earth and do offer new type sub primes like Salt and Amber who are truly independant??
Many thanks in advance

To be honest any decent true whole market broker will have access to the lenders you mention.
Look out for exclusive deals as well. Salt are offering some exclusives that are quite good via some networks.
There should be no need to pay broker fees in such a case.0 -
There are other lenders apart from the two you mention who could be able to help
There are also plenty of fee free advisers - so the only fees you would pay woul dbe those charged by the lenders in question.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
