Hello does any one know if these are any good ?
also it says i can apply for a mortgage in principle online. if i do this it will check my credit history and they said it will leave a footprint on my credit history.
is a footprint a good or a bad thing ? is it ok to go ahead and get morgage in principle? will this effect any future application in any way.
also does anyone know how long principle will last with the post office ?

Footprints are great if they say yes and you end up applying to them.
Multiple hoof prints are bad as they start to make the next lender wonder why a, b and c didn't already lend to you.

AIPs are increasingly only valid on the day they are carried out and are subject to the information being confirmed.
Anyone can get an AIP based on made up information. Lenders can change their criteria and their products without notice.

Depends what you are rating them on....what do you mean "top"? ones with the highest buildings in the centre of london... lowest initial rates... most likely chance of acceptance...??
I used PO for my old house last year and they were great. We also had to convert it to C2L to move with work and they have been great with that too.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Alphabetically, Abbey and Alliance and Leicester have always been very close to the top of the list.0

Lol, guess what i mean is, is there a list of people to avoid. or a general list of most popalar.
Most likely chance of acceptance list would be helpfull aswell.0 -
It's a how long is a piece of string question. There's companies with great deals but who demand low LTV and immaculate credit history. Great if you fit the criteria, useless if you don't. At the other extreme, there's ones with high rates, limited product ranges but will entertain customers with a poorer history. Great if that's all you can get, rubbish if you have better options. There's all the others in between.
A broker would be able to narrow down your options. Or someone on here could probably give you a steer if you posted some details.0 -
