    Just repeating what the others have said - do not let them in the house. At all.

    Once they have been in, they have the rights to come in again and you have a lot less leverage over them.

    Do not let them in. Under any circumstances. They are trying to bamboozle you with laws and things to get you to let them in, because once they're in, they have the right to come back in again. Don't fall for the tricks. Don't let them in. Deal with them in writing only.

    Actually it does exist and in theory gives the right of bailiffs to enter a house, in certain circumstances. According to Herbie21, this was allowed a total of 10 times in one year, and you can assume that it was for much more serious situations than your daughters.

    The bailiff cannot take BF's car to pay for her fine.

    Get her to ring herbie21 (it is a premium line) and find out how to deal with this mess. Or she moves out, pronto.

    thank you everyone

    bailiff just came and agreed to meet me over road

    he discharged debt back to court due to daughter being on dla for mental health probs, i showed him letters

    dd had been paying debt at £2.50 per week but this was seemingly disregarded

    he said she will get money taken out of her beneifts

    really appreciate help

    i looked at herbies advice pages and especially at the vunerable persons section which applied to dd
