Retirement Lump Sum Creditors Question ?

This is a Question on Behalf of my mother.

She is taking out her Lump Sum pension from work NHS. Of £9000,.She has Debt plan with CCS counseling services.

Is she obliged by law to pay off the creditors? Or can she contiune with the existing price payments each month.

    DMP's are informal, it is a DMP your wife is on? They don't have any legal basis.

    She can do what she likes with the money. Save it, spend it or pay off the DMP.

    personally i'd get rid of the debt but thats just me.
