    all i have done is a search on money super market:

    it was about 300 per months fixed for 5 years at around 6%

    Could you survive on just your partners income?

    After paying the mortgage you would be left with under £800 per month to pay all your bills. Have you drawn up a budget that includes all the costs to run a property and your normal monthly expenditure?

    We have drawn up a budget. and it seems like we can manage on the one wage, but i am hoping not to be out of work for not to long if my contract ends.

    is it best to get a fixed rate morgage these days ?
