I am planning on making some shortbread today but don't want greedy OH to eat it all in one go. Can I freeze it?

Yes, I always freeze half the cakes I make, we're abit weird in that we wouldn't eat them before they went stale

Hi BADPENNY,
Yes, I have frozen it before and it was fine. Just make sure it's wrapped really well and remove the wrapping when defrosting otherwise it can go soggy. If it does go soggy you can refresh it by giving it a couple of minutes in a preheated oven,

It might be helpful to know that you can freeze before baking - I often freeze the mix after the rubbing in and before the putting in the tin (if it's cooked and in the freezer they will find it - if it looks like breadcrumbs in a freezer bag they'll pass!)0
