Apple have refurbished iPads, 16GB Wi-Fi + 3G for £499. Not sure if this is the cheapest, if you want a refurbished one that is.

Refurbished 32GB Wi-Fi + 3G are £561 at Apple Store as well.

I think you should try Ebay! Because my colleague at work brought an IPHONE 4 from there and saved himself a couple of hundred pound.

Bear in mind that Apple are due to announce a new ipad 2 model this week (on 2 March) which will be on sale in the not too distant future.

It will be interesting to see who can find the lowest price for the ipad2. Cashback from the cashback sites could help.
A quick look shows Viking Direct gives 9.09% (ex. VAT) via TCB which would reduce the ipad2 a bit. But is there a lower price without cashback as Apple products are generally fixed to a degree??
Comet had a 7% discount code which gave 7% off a minimum £600 spend (ends today), plus a possible cashback as well (2.52%) if code allowed via cashback site. Hopefully Comet will offer something similar around release time - I'll settle for 7% for pick-up in store.
Just a couple of examples and hopefully MSE members/Martin and his team will find the lowest price out there for the ipad2.

We need to see what the starting price will be first though and of course the UK release date. My son will be getting excited. lol

once the ipad 2 is released theyre reducing the price of the original ipad and selling it at the same time. Maybe worth a look

If you dont really need the camera, apparantly its not really worth the extra £100, although its slimmer, lighter etc.

I guess the Ipad 1 will do until the Ipad 3 comes out.

Well in fairness the processor has double the power and it is supposed to have 9x the power graphically speaking. So if you use it for games it might make sense.

Unfortunately the front facing camera is rubbish and the rear facing camera is unecessary so youre probably right.
