Have a couple of relatives coming from abroad & staying with us for a month, and as the main mode of travel will be buses & car for those 4 weeks, we feel we should have the above things for them
1 child is about 2.5 years old & the other is 18 months old.
Anywear where we could get these cheap / basic (no frills) models?
Only going to be used for 4 weeks - no use to them as they wont be taking them back as there is no concept of car seats etc where they live!
I envisage they will be used maximum 5 hours per week (20 hrs max) hence the need to do it on the cheap!

Have you tried Freecycle? I know a few people give away their car seats when they have finished with them (I did!).
Alternatively try halford or ebay as they do a few cheap options. We got a 'Narnia' seat of ebay which was lightweight but full harness for about £38 (I think!). We still use it today as a spare for grannies etc.
Alternatively you could try something like an NCT table top sale, car boot, etc - depends on whether you definately want new....I have a new claim to fameI spoke about the Olympics ticket fiasco on Martin's daybreak slot :money:

You'll need group 1 seats - these tend to be quite expensive, though I see My Child do some relatively cheap seats if you search online - £37 at Tesco dot com. Or try to find them secondhand, though I would be very wary of this as you don't know their history. You need to check they will fit properly in your car too.0

There is one about to come into stock for £25.97. It's for ages 9 months to 11 years, so would do if they visited again the the next few years?
