  • Thanks for the reply bandhia. I can't imagine that the washing powder is the problem, but I do appreciate your reply, xx

I have had lots of towels and flannels ruined when DS was using spot cream and he used to wipe his hands on the flannel/towel afterwards and it took the colour out
I wonder if your towels have come into contact with something in your bathroom that contains bleach standingupformyself?
Also, as Bandhia has said, it could've happened in the wash. I've had that happen on a black top once :o

I ordered 4 of these lovely towels in blue, I am clutching at straws here - but it is worth asking... I had all four in the bathroom for a few days and then washed them together, put them away in the cupboard and thought no more about them. They went back in the bathroom yesterday and (typically) when I re-folded them up after the kids used them I noticed all four of them have bleachy type marks over them. I cannot find a reason in my house/bathroom as to why or how this could have happened.

Has anyone else had a similar issue with these towels? It is almost like the dye has started to come off them. Could this be a fault with the towels?

This happened to me years ago with a set of new towels: and I experimented with our various toiletries thinking that the shampoo or toothpaste etc might have been the cause. Like you, nothing seemed to have caused it.
I sorted the problem by buying a packet of dye and changing the colour!
