Your right I’d noticed we hadn’t seen Cheryl for a while, I do hope it’s because she’s loved up with her new man!

New man? Do you know something I don't
OK Smart@rse, so perhaps you did know something I didn't :rotfl:

Seriously, I've come to the conclusion that fellas are like buses - none for ages, then not one, not two, but three all come along at once !!!

Yep, I've had no less than three chaps start chatting to me on-line today, and they all seem OK so far. Two of them have even categorically stated that they've no problem with 'opposite sex friends', so that's not helped to whittle the list down any either :o

(must confess this is one reason I didn't make it out for milk today, which meant I managed to clock up another NSD ;))

Looks like I could be in for an interesting (and on-line busy) week, but what on earth do I do if they all ask for meet up unknown.gif I have a hard enough time keeping track of family events (younger GDs b/day party next weekend and her birthday during the following week) and shifts at work (should be easier now the over-time's over) plus fitting in dog-walking and running without having to juggle dates with different people (at least one of whom works shifts) as well blush.gif

No idea hannah but I look forward to hearing how to do it too as I am totally dim.

Beanie, you are about to be told off :naughty::naughty:

You are NOT dim, you may be slightly technologically challenged:D but that doesn't make you dim, far from it.

Most of us here have had to ask how to post pictures and do anything more complicated that add a post, I know I certainly did. Forums were a totally alien world to me when I joined in 2009, I've learned a lot since then through asking, so ask away..

PS: Have fun playing now :D

Thanks BDINI and spoon, the support here is fantastic.

On the job searching thing, I have been staying in this job partly because I don't want to expose myself by looking for something else in the currently climate. So because I'm scared really; and the job situation has knocked my confidence so much that I didn't think I was worth a better job. I'm past that now- I am sooo much better than this job! But as wit40iwtwan has said I too have options and although the industry I'm in (construction) is pretty poor at the moment there are things out there. So although I'm trying to have a weekend off, I am also putting some time and energy into my CV, which is at least 2.5 years out of date.

Good for you karma-chi,:T:T I'm so pleased you've got your confidence back and realise that the job isn't good enough for you. Being in a situation like that is like being in a bullying relationship, it totally saps your confidence (speaking from experience here, I had the same from 2000 to 2004 and it took me a while to realise I could get out and find something else - and better) and makes you think no one else would want to employ you. There are jobs out there if you're willing to put the time and energy into finding them, it's not easy but if you're determined you'll do it.

Don't forget I have a "kick up the bum" smiley and I ain't afraid to use it:D:D

Good luck, chin up, you'll get there, and we're here if you need a rant or some encouragement, don't forget that:A

Working myself into an exhausted heap.....

I reckon I've done an extra 64 hours over the last 8 weeks, and I was on annual leave for one week which means I've worked the extra hours in just 7 of them :o

Oh dear, Cheryl, that's not good:(:(

Shoulder is really giving me gyp today.
    Very painful.

Sorry to hear that, beanie, hope it's on the mend soon.

    Take care

I feel rather hypocritical listing everyone's fabulous NSD efforts when I've failed miserably. Don't even bother looking at my confession on the toiletries thread. Suffice it to say I'm falling off the wagon a bit at the moment...

Now, clc, I'm going to have to have some stern words with you..... we don't use the "f" word on this thread because we don't believe in f**ling........ Any NSDs we get are an achievement and sometimes life just gets in the way of plans.

Chin up and be proud of the NSDs you've managed to grab this month:T:T:T

'tis for the bank balance (which could be hit for outings over the next couple of weeks now ;)), and I also got a bonus in Friday's pay-pack that I'd forgotten I'd qualify for this year. The best bit being the bonus is a percentage of your pay over the previous 12 months - including overtime :D
On the other hand.... next week could definitely be interesting.. keep us posted:D:D:D
As if I'd dare not to ;)

Yes, we are due for one of our infamous nights out - how about we get a team up quickly to run the London Marathon in all our usual crazy disguises? Maybe come dressed as your user name? (haven't a clue what a Nargle looks like but am open to suggestions....)
I see Spoon dressed as a giant spoon, BigMumma in a pinny with curlers and a rolling pin, suziewong in full cheongsam with knitting needles in her hair carrying a big chopper knife thing, muffinman as the Pilsbury doughboy.....etc etc. Who's up for the crazy NSD marathon and what costume will you be wearing? Igor of course is already up for the catering side of things, but if Hubert joins in he will either need a mammoth-size Pampers or someone will have to run behind him carrying a shovel and spade....(sigh) I always get the good jobs here....

Great idea, Nargle:T:T I'm up for a spin around London in the Tardis dressed as a giant spoon:D:D

Apparently you make an appearance in Harry Potter - "The Nargle is known to infest mistletoe and to be a mischievous thief":D:D.

I wouldn't worry too much about Hubert, the police horses make enough mess, a bit more won't be noticed;)

Blimey! Scheduling my NSD's towards the second half of March has mean't that I am under pressure when it comes down to making target which is a stupid idea.
As an idea though NSD's could be scheduled to be 1x or 2x a week or more depending on inclinations making target reaching easier and less of a strain than it is now.
So progress report: I have been overspending on Shopping at Tesco I began the month with almost a notional allowance of £160 spent, add to that other huge bills and its looking BAAAAD.
I have also spent a small amount on books at Amazon needed for my 50 Books Reading List Challenge this year. I am currently on Book 27 way ahead of the crowd but falling behind my 1 x or 2x books a week. Reading a book itself rather than just rely on blessed Librivox is also a challenge.
This month feels like too much money has been spent.
So NSD wise I am onto 5 out the 10 with maybe 1 or 2 days to gain as we go into April. * Must do better*.
Hi everyone I am amazed at some of the NSD achievements amongst other things being done on here.
5 out of 10 NSD's maybe 1 or 2 more to end month.
