How quickly will your credit score improve after removing CCj?

yes but after you get one default, or CCJ etc, having two makes no difference...either way ur gonna wait 6 years, whether it is paid or not...so wait 5 years then pay
A settled default looks better on your file than an unsettled one.
A CCJ is worse on your file than a default. And as this poster is talking about buying a house and mortgages then this is even more relevant.
The poster may already has a CCJ but they are hoping to get that removed.
If they don't pay towards this debt for 5years then its quite possible that the creditor will take them to court and obtain a CCJ - this would last for another 6years from when they get that CCJ. This would be a later date than the default so will affect their credit file for longer.
Eg say the default was Jan 11 - that will be on their file until Jan17.
But if the creditor decides to take them to court after 2 to 3 years of not paying they could end up with a CCJ say Jun13. Which would then be on their file until Jun19.
Therefore much worse on their credit file and having an impact for a longer period of time.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
