Just looked at aldis site and ive seen this Scart Stick – Digital Receiver, would it enable me to watch freeview channels on my tv upstairs, the freeview box is downstairs

Yes you can watch Freeview upstairs, it's is a Freeview box in itself (as long as you have decent reception upstairs). IMHO you may as well buy a cheapie FV box from Asda/Tesco.0

Yes or the cable/sky thingy to the transmitting wotsit and just connect the TV or DVD etc to the receiving wotsit.0
