Just looked at aldis site and ive seen this Scart Stick – Digital Receiver, would it enable me to watch freeview channels on my tv upstairs, the freeview box is downstairs

That reminds me slightly off topic (your sig) I keep missing gadget show I get so sick of the rubbish on tv these days I just forget there a few decent shows still around

Yes you can watch Freeview upstairs, it's is a Freeview box in itself (as long as you have decent reception upstairs). IMHO you may as well buy a cheapie FV box from Asda/Tesco.

or buy the Aldi Video Sender (£19.99) and transmit downstairs telly to upstairs.

Actually, it sends it not just right but also left and up and down, too!!:D

Yes or the cable/sky thingy to the transmitting wotsit and just connect the TV or DVD etc to the receiving wotsit.
