Why can't I leave negative feedback?

My only thought is if the address is so lacking that it cannot be delivered then would it not be obvious when printing it out? As has already been mentioned all the pO actually need is a sort code and house or flat number, nothing else.

Hey hang on! It's not a false negative. I wouldn't dream of doing that.
I meant 'false positive', sorry. If you use a + feedback in order to leave a message that is not related to the +ve then it can be removed. I'm not accusing you of anything, just letting you know.If people don't read feedback due to time then you are saying the feedback system is pointless.
Again, I'm not giving commentary on the rights or wrongs, just saying how it is.
My point is, the feedback sysyem changed about 3 years ago and we have to deal with how it is now, that's all.0 -

I think you are worrying too much about feedback left for the other seller and may find yourself getting bad feedback for lack of customer service.
The missing line of the address included the house(building) number. It had a "room number" but not a building number. I struggle to see how I am giving lack of customer service. I sold some little Bear Factory clothes on behalf of my eight year old (so she had the money to buy something else as now too old to play with Bear!) and posted them to the address given to me on e bay and paypal. I posted the next day and got proof of posting. Other Bear clothes sold and posted to two other buyers the same time all got there but this one didn't. On investigation it is due to an incomplete address. Surely me not refunding on that basis is not wrong?MTC NMP Membership #62 - made it back to size 12 after my children & I'm staying here!0 -
Without knowing the address format, it is hard for me to comment on the address. But if it was as obvious as Room 2, West Street.....did you not see it was odd or incomplete?
As for the refund, I am afraid that it is for the seller to get the item to the buyer. You have not. You are assuming it is because of the address, but you do not know.
Google is not a recognized database for addresses, so check the Royal Mail website, that will give you the correct format.
The only fact you can be sure of, is that the buyer will win a dispute. If you do not refund before dispute you risk your ebay account, as disputes now count along with dsr stars.0
