Off to Janet's for the party. Back sometime late tomorrow. Everyone have a good weekend. Funny that the sun went in just as The Wedding ended.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

I've been lying in bed watching the Royal Wedding - it was such a wonderful spectacle and didn't Kate look beautiful in her lacey yet simple dress? I've come downstairs in the 'interval' to have my breakfast - just waiting now for the balcony scene
Tut tut Kit and a smacked hand for forgetting to inject last night
I was very good last night and did not take my laptop up to bed, so got straight to sleep and had a good restMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

I'm so glad i had today off!! I guessed that Kate would wear lace but i'm gutted i didn't bet on that. She looked super, and i'm now after Harry! Best dressed for me were Victoria and david beckham, kates mum, and zara phillips. Our family had a nice little buffet afterwards, no street party up our road0

I loved the lace Vix and I agree on the Beckhams, they looked fantastic, as did Kate's mum - very simple and by favourite designer of Diana, must admit I didn't see Zara - but what did Beatrice and Eugene look like
And the touch of driving 'home' to Clarence House in Dad's Aston Martin, all decked out, was grrrreat :j :j
I'm off soon to visit Mam and calling in at my neice's afterwards so will be on here laterMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

When I got to the home to visit Mam, walking up the corridor I could not see her in her bed - even as I got nearer, my heart was racing as the bed was empty  it was only when I got to the actual door of her room that I saw her head - the blanket on the bed was flat, no sign of her body/legs, just this little grey haired head on the pillow
she looked so tiny
Then I realised what had happened - the air flow mattress had stopped working and her mattress was going down, so she has sunk into the mattress, which was extremely soft. By the time I had talked to her and found this out, two carers came in with her bowl of soup and a yoghurt, so I told them straight away about the mattress - they thought the plug had come out but I said no, the machine was switched on but warning light was red showing low inflation. She finished serving everyone's dinner and then came back with a new unit (pump) which hooks over the bottom of the bed and plugged the pipes into that, which then started to inflate the mattress, and it only took about 15 minutes to fully inflate, and she was lifted up again into the correct position. The carers said it had been OK when they had changed her earlier. Anyway, Mam wasn't bothered by it yet, so no damage done - the last time we found her like this, she was actually lying on the bed frame, on a completely deflated mattress
Mam ate all her soup and I got her a large bowl of ice cream, over which I poured the yoghurt and she widened her eyes at that, loving every spoonfulI made her a cup of tea and, while that was cooling, the nurse came with her liquid paracetamol and put her nebuliser on her, which only took 10 minutes, so she had her tea after that, with 2 biscuits. I also gave her a few of her white chocolate buttons, which she loves
The staff must have put the TV's on BBC1 for the Royal Wedding coverage, and Shrek was on when I got there, which we both watched and she laughed a lot at that, and I enjoyed it tooanyway, she was comfortable and happy when I left at 6.40 pm
I called at my neice's to print the last of my Tesco DTD vouchers off, and one for them too, plus entered some wombled receipts for them, and I played with the girls for a while as I did this - they were helping me:eek: They have now gone off to ride their bikes on the big playing field nearby, when I came home and got my washing off the line
I am just going to get changed then put some sirloin steak on the grill to have with salad and jacket potato, so will be back online after I've eaten that
Hope everyone has had a good day today and enjoyed watching the Royal Wedding, if they did watch it that isIt rained her during the night and morning but got sunnier this afternoon, though it stayed cold all day
Oh, and I have eventually got round to booking my return train ticket for going home on 12th May - I had to check when my neice's hubbie was available to give me a lift to the station as he works shift, but that is all sorted now :j :j

Hiya everyone - another lovely day here but still that cool breeze - I've had another lazy morning, a leisurely shower and wash hair, breakfast, then did some washing and watered sister's plants, before hanging washing out - at least it will dry quickly with the breeze
I noticed that my sister's lawns are covered in daisies - like a white sheet over them - I've got to cut the lawns before I leave so everything is as tidy as when they left for their hols
By the way, can't remember if I said or not, but they got caught up in the storms over in USA - they had travelled to Mississippi in the first week and then drove over to Tennessee - while staying in Nashville, the storms struck - the tornado warnings came as they were in the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum gift shop and everyone was herded into the basement until the all clear - luckily not much damage as the tornadoes did not touch down, but they have now moved over to Memphis and my sister says she needs wellies BUT she couldn't get any one as she fell over and damaged her ankle/leg which she had slightly damaged in Nov/Dec ice/snow, but this time her ankle is badly swollen and deep black & blue - she got strapping/support from a drugstore but is hobbling around. This is the second time she has done this whilst on holiday there - last time was about 3 years ago and she fell over and badly gashed and twisted her leg so spent half her hols all strapped up then too  Mind you, knowing my sister, it will not stop her enjoying her holiday at allThey move on to Vicksburg on Monday and then to Oklahoma on Friday where they visit the friends they made over there who live in Newcastle Oklahoma
When will you hear about the house Marru? Expect the long weekend will slow things down
I am going out soon to the shops spending one of my Tatco DTD vouchersand then visiting Mam so will check back on here later. It's well seen that Kit is away from home isn't it - it's awfully quiet without her :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
