Sign Language? Wow, that fascinates me. Did you have dealings with deaf people? Is that how you learnt it Aesop?

Not at first, it was something I chose to do, I loved it and wanted to know more about it.

I did it at night classes. Then when I was working in a pub we had a few deaf customers come in, which was great, practised on them.

Then in my last job, we had a deaf customer come in and although I ended up finger spelling, (I am good at that!) it is kinda hard to sign about change of address and extended warranties, he was most impressed! Particularly that a large business like ours had someone who could sign!

i always wanted to learn to sign
i learnt the sign alphabet as a child and it does take ages spelling everything out
i did look at some websites in order to learn more sign but just could not find the time to learn
you are to be commended for this it is not easy to learn - well done
