Ah, poor little DS .......... and poor you too Aesop - that was all quite traumatic for both of you - I do hope that he will go swimming again as it is so important for them to learn to swim
I don't need the anti-wrinkle cream either Stevebut could do with some more pork loin steaks

hello all
am absolutely shattered! on here for a rest! Think I need to start taking those iron tablets again!
We went swimming yesterday Steve! took me 45 minutes  to get him in the water! 15 minutes of crying in the changing room, while I tried to force his clothes off, he kept holding onto them and pulling them back on. Then we were told there was a school in the baby pool  until 4pm! I had a ms job that had to be done before 4.30pm, so went to the big pool and was trying to convince DS to just put a foot in the pool, or sit on the edge. The lifeguard came over and asked what he was wearing. I said a swimming nappy, he had had it since he was a baby, and only worn it once, 2 years ago! She said she had never seen one before, so was just checking. Then I explained he was frightened of the water and I was trying to convince him to just sit at the edge. She said oh but the baby pool is open - I said no, there is a school in there. Oh no the school finish in 5 minutes!
She came back to tell me they had gone, so went round, and sat with my feet in the pool, DS wouldn't even touch the water overlapping the pool! so told him to cuddle me, and I just spoke to him and showed him the baby in the pool and the little girl, both with their daddies and how much fun they were having.
DS kept saying we have to go home now. Eventually, coaxed one foot in the pool, then the other, then convinced him to stand on the edge of the pool. Then eventually got him in the pool! held onto him, took him the length of the pool both ways, he kept trying to climb out when we got to each end! after 15 minutes, he started shivering, so we got out, but he said to me, I love swimming, we can come again.
Expensive 15 mins for me!
He was free but I had to pay £3.85 for the privilege.
Today went to buy swimming nappies, the disposable ones, and he said, we are not going swimming
went wacky warehouse, he kept crying.. his blood sugars were low, and then my friend came with her son. He has turned into a bit of a bully. He kicked DS, was hitting another child, kept trying to push people down the slide, jumped on DS in the ball pit and made him cry again.
Left, DS was crying at town, hid behind me when we were talking to the Firemen at the Fire house. cried because I refused to pay another £1 for a 2 minute bus toy ride! refused to get on the escalator, so had to pick him up, stood crying in boots for 10 mins while I ignored him. Eventually realised he wasn't getting his own way and stopped.
Then cried in sainsburys as he burst his balloon.... cried at the zebra crossing as he wanted to press the button and someone else already had....
am exhausted!
oh Aesop gosh you must be so tired. Remember children cry as they dont really have the vocab to express themselves. It isn't a reflection on you at all. Poor you!Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

oh DS has enough vocabulary when he wants to express himself! He thinks by crying he will get his own way, as his Dad gives in (psychological problems with crying) and that I will be embarrassed into giving in. I don't and I am not.
I think his blood sugar has been very low all day. Waiting for GOSH appointment and am going to ask for him to be tested for allergies and blood sugar problems.0 -
You have a good read SW. Maybe a nap will help0

Oh Aesop. I'm having hysterics (not me, smallest person) right now over flies.. for fookies sake, they test our patience.
Hello everyoneJust dropping in to say hello as I haven't be around for a while. We've had no electricity for a few days, something majorly went wrong with the bliddy 'earth'. That's fixed now but the rewiring prep has begun. All the laminate is up upstairs, it' looking like brand spanking new carpets which I'm pleased about as will be warmer. We've weeks of this ahead and having to go away earlier than we thought. Meet defo off now guys. So tired with it and it's only just begun.
Everything ok otherwise really,, Aesop I'm not doing Avon, I can't be arrised right now and my sales rep is a snooty cow and I just can't be bothered.
So tired, had 1 hour sleep last night. Littlest person woke me up and that was the end of my sleepies.. zzzzzz0 -
