It affects every part of our lives in every way.
Being on a low income and working in the care industry your even more overworked and underpaid than the usual job, ,with a little one its hard. We have to watch every single penny that we have, we have never been out for a drink or a meal because we cant afford it, we have to plan day trips 6 months + in advance and have never been on holiday together
When we lost our house due to landlord kicking us out (no fault of our own) we didnt have any money or anywhere to turn, so we moved into a homelessness unit provided by the council (one room for all of us) and this has pushed our relationship so so hard.
We still live in the temporary accomodation and were still struggling but i just hope when we do find somewhere to live this whole experience will make us stronger than ever, ive just accepted another job 42 hours a week and am going to do some part time temp work on my days off and save save save.
Without trying to sound too right wing, its really hard to accept seeing other peoples lives pan out, people who have never worked who seem to get all the luck and all the support/handoutsEven a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.0
