  • Don;t waste your money on them.
So pretty, [STRIKE]we[/STRIKE] Father Xmas thought one would be a lovely gift for DD. Awful thing, long thread to make her fly, clips into the 'owner's' hair and connects in with sticky blutack. Sticky blutack then sticks to hair, sticks to fairy and sticks to walls, leaving greasy marks everywhere.

Yep, waste of time. Thread here all about them:

  • I used to love Hawkin. They used to be really quirky and GREAT for customer service. Over the last decade or so they've acquired more and more of their suppliers, plus opened more stores of their own, and it's all going downhill. Often Tobar goods are more expensive in their own stores than in their competitors round the corner!
TObar own Hawkin's Bazaar and Letterbox btw.

I always feel a bit sad when one of my old faves lets me down :(

  • My DD got one of these for Xmas too, but we couldn't get it to work either. She loved the fairy still, lol, but wouldn't waste money on one.

Thank you for linking to my thread about these awful things. My daughter was a bit upset about it, but I was so angry that I'd wasted £15 on one of these.

I agree-worse thing I have ever bought! Too fiddly-I spent so much time trying to get it set up
that my daughters got bored and left me to it. I ended up taking back to shop as they really were a pile of c*ap!!
Amazed at the amount of things I have purchased that 'I never knew I needed' until I joined and viewed the Grabbit page on this forum!!:rotfl:

I bought my friends daughters 1 each of these and they love them. I got them for Argos when they were £6.99. They are 7 and found them easy to use and are able to play with them.
